Tub & Tile Reglazing F.A.Q.

Q: Will it look like a new tub?

A: Yes, your tub will look like new.

Q: Do you refinish bathroom tile also? Will you also re-grout the tile first?

A: Yes we do refinish tile and we will re-grout the wall if it is necessary.

Q: Will you be able to fix the big chips and scratches that are on my tub & tiles?

A: Yes all chips, scratches and cracks will be repaired you will never know they were ever there.

Q: Can I change the color of my existing tub and/or tiles?

A: Yes we can change the color & you have thousands of colors to choose from. You can even make your tile have a granite look.

Q: Can my sink be re-glazed?

A: Yes it can. Wall tiles and tile floors can also be re-glazed.

Q: What about my shower doors?

A: Shower doors must be removed prior to the re-glazing process. We will remove the doors, however you must put them back. If that is a problem you can make arrangements prior to refinishing the tub.

Q: Are there any bad odors from the process?

A: If the bathroom has a window, all odors are exhausted through the window. With just the bathroom exhaust fan (no window), odor will occur during the process, but will dissipate in a few hours.

Q: Is it difficult to maintain my new re-glazed tub and tiles?

A: NO! Just treat it like you would a new tub. See our care and maintenance page for tips of how to take care of your new tub.

Q: How do I maintain my newly glazed bathtub and tile?

A: Due to the non-porous surface of the finish there is no need to use abrasive cleansers. Any household liquid detergent will give excellent results. To remove mineral stains use a mild acid solution such as liquid bowl cleaner.

Do’s:

  • Repair leaky faucets
  • Caulk around tub before using
  • Remove all tape and masking paper 24 hours after job complete

Don'ts:

  • DO NOT USE SURFACE FOR 24 HOURS
  • DO NOT LAY SOAP OR BOTTLES OR ANY OBJECT ON THE FINISH FOR 60 DAYS
  • DO NOT USE ABRASIVE CLEANSERS SUCH AS SOS PADS, COMET, AND SOFT SCRUB ETC.
  • DO NOT USE SUCTION CUPS OF ANY KIND
  • DO NOT PICK SURFACE DUST OFF WITH FINGERS; ANY SURFACE DUST OR ROUGHNESS WILL DISSIPATE IN 3 TO 4 WEEKS WITH NORMAL CLEANING AND USAGE
